The Celtics second half struggles resurfaced without Thomas as the Celtics sloppy play lead to a 105-99 loss in Philly. The Celtics started off the game cold and trailed the 76ers at the end of the first quarter by three. However, a strong second quarter from Rozier gave the Celtics a five point lead at half time.
Midway through the third quarter the Celtics had opened up a 13 point lead on the back of Horford who had a Celtics career high 27 points. Nevertheless over the final minute of the quarter the Celtics allowed a 6-0. The Celtics started fourth quarter up three but played miserably as they were held to only 20 points. Horford was also held without a point in the quarter
The key to this game was the 76ers ability to hold the Celtics to 2-10 from the three during the fourth quarter and to hold the Celtics to only 6 three point field goals in the game. The 6 three pointers is a game low for the Celtics this season.
